File Manager

The File Manager is available in every plan (including Free). Only admin and manager roles can use it; manager accounts are restricted to the websites assigned to them.

Open the File Manager menu in the panel to manage server files without SSH:

• Pick a scope (root) — browse the global web root or each website’s data directory (including WordPress: wp-config.php, themes, plugins, uploads).
• Browse folders — see size, modified date and permissions; sort by name / size / date; quick-filter by name.
• Create folders / empty files, rename, duplicate, delete.
• Multi-select — bulk delete, copy / cut → paste between folders.
• Upload — drag & drop multiple files at once, with a progress bar.
• Download — grab a single file, or zip several items and download.
• Extract — unzip a .zip archive right on the server.
• Change permissions (chmod) — click the octal permission to edit it.
• Image preview & text editing — the editor has line numbers, a line/column indicator and Ctrl+S to save.

Caution

The File Manager acts with the MyPanel process’s permissions and is jailed to the allowed scope — it blocks ../, symlink escapes and zip-slip on extraction. A guard prevents deleting root directories to avoid accidental damage to the server.
